The sound only happens when you’re breaking gently at a slow speed like coming to a slow stop. Even the guys that looked at it are baffled because the pads and rotors look good.
5 posts · Joined 2021. #1 · Sep 8, 2021. Driving my 2018 F Pace 35T, got hit by a car which was traveling at least 50 mph. He it the corner of the front passenger side and smashed entire front. Airbags did not deploy and I hit my head on the steering wheel, bruised up my left shoulder and knee. On the fence about purchasing a 2017 S and need some advice. Been wanting to scoop one up for over a year now and finally found the right deal in the color I wanted - around $46k and under 10k miles in great conditon. I have noticed a number of times that my F Pace's auto transmission making a jerk/clunk (when accelerating gently) changing from first to second gear when the engine is cold (ie: not yet at operating temperature). Has anyone experienced the same? Sort by Oldest first.

Reliability and Maintenance Frequency. I've been eyeing the the F-Pace for a couple of months now. I love the looks and enjoyed my test ride. The only reason I haven't purchased is because the closest dealership to me is 2 hours away, and I'm worried about maintenance.

The SVR is a Supercharged V8 and makes around 550 HP and 500 + lbs torque. The other comments from above apply from me. Driving the S is certainly a blast vs the JGC, even though it definitely has a few odd quirks. The F Pace has not been on the market long enough to give an indication of even initial reliability, never mind long term. The newer cars have electronic parking brakes. When you put the car in park the rear brakes automatically clench. Need an Autel or dealer level software tool to tell it to unclench for maintenance. It may also occur when in manual mode and down shifting. This is common in many vehicles although two identical cars may not have the same symptom. Mike.
